Zusammenfassung: | Based on the ethnography of the 2017, 2019, 2020 and 2021 editions of Comic Con Experience, an event held in São Paulo, this article relates remediation and experience consumption. Based on participant observation and 10 open and in-depth interviews, it identifies the concepts of collective and common imagination and voluntary suspension of disbelief, developing reflections that indicate that more than prior knowledge, experience consumption depends on an affective antecedence, formed through rituals that precede the event. Observing that throughout these rituals, addressed according to Jesus Martín-Barbero, remediations occur, a concept presented by Jay David Bolter and Richard Grusin, the article therefore considers that they contribute to experience consumption at the event. |
