Zusammenfassung: | Aim: The aim of this study is to determine the level of quality of work life (QWL) perception levels of hospital employees, and to examine whether their QWL levels differ according to different demographic characteristics. Method: The study was performed in April 2008 in a private hospital, and its sub-branches, operating in Yalova. In the study, survey methodology was used to collect data. In order to determine the participants’ QWL level, Chinomona and Dhurup’s (2014) scale was used, which was originally adapted from Donaldson et al. (1999) study. In total, 229 survey forms were collected. Findings: In this study, it was found that participants’ quality of work life perception level is positive in general. Moreover, it was found that participants’ QWL perception level does not show any statistically significant difference in terms of participants’ gender, age, education, marital status, and working duration in the hospital, however it shows statistically significant difference in terms of position. Conclusion: When the influence of quality of work life on employees, organizations, patients, and the other stakeholders is taken into account, a positive QWL perception level is a desired situation by hospitals. In order to maintain and improve this situation, it is recommended that the hospital managements should carry out studies related to quality of work life, and should perform improvements in necessary conditions |
