Zusammenfassung:Optimum conditions for surf-riding was investigated. They are given by not only wave characteristicsand sea bottom slope, but also wind condition determining roughness of sea surface. Disappearance of past famous surf spot due to the construction of coastal structures was investigated on the Maebara beach in Kamogawa City in Chiba Prefecture by the comparison of past aerial photographs before and after the construction of structures. Surf spot can be recognized by existence of the triangular-shape surf zone as given by the previous study.
