Zusammenfassung:In recent year, it has been important to form concepts of port-construction with participation and consensus of residents. A study was made to establish a method to evaluate improvements or construction of amenity-oriented port facilities whose demand is expected to increase. This study examines the psychological effects of amenity-oriented port facilities on residents and determines how to effectively bring out a port's best psychological features. In this way, predicting which amenity-oriented port facilities will more deeply satisfy residents and increase their usage may be possible. Our investigation was through interviews and field monitoring to consider measures which provide deeper satisfaction, such as walking, fishing and others, which are major leisure activities in a port. Various site conditions such as the extent of the seascape, were determined as factors to increase satisfaction. Analyses were made to determine the degree of each factor necessary for resident's satisfaction.
