Zusammenfassung:It is great concern that the number of elderly people who feel difficulty to move to food shop may increase. Thus it is necessary for the local government to take the measures for supporting them. Because the functional capacity of elderly people is different by person, which supporting service is needed is different by the functional capacity of each individual. In this study, we develop the model to describe the choice of the alternative for food shopping such as driving his/her own car to shop and using delivery service with functional capacity of elderly people. Using the data gathered in depopulated rural areas in Japan, we estimate the model and discuss how individual functional capacity affects the choice.
