Zusammenfassung:As a basic step, this study proposes a model which describes the traffic accident risk on school commuting-road considering the physical factors such as traffic volume and street-side facilities. This model is based on the hypothesis that the traffic accident depends on the interference between children and driver as a premise and on the driver's attentiveness and judgement for the traffic accident risk. With consid-ering the assumption on the behaviors of children and drivers, we make the model that the objective variable is the risk of traffic accidents and explanatory variables are physical factor concerning road improvement and school commuting-road design, like traffic density of children and road sign, traffic sign and dead angle. According to the application to actual situation, it was revealed that the model provided reasonable prediction of the distribution of traffic accident risk on school commuting-roads.
