Zusammenfassung: | An analysis of poundings between two elastic rods is presented. Poundings of two rods, which have the same lengths and sections, traveling in the same and opposite directions were analyzed. The poundings based on the wave propagation theory were analyzed by a model consisted of the elastic beam elements and the impact spring element. The impact spring element has high stiffness only when a collision between the elastic rods has occurred. From these results, it is found that the analysis using the impact spring element realistically represents the pounding of elastic beams including the propagation of stress wave and changes of particle velocity, by appropriately providing the stiffness of the impact spring and the time interval of numerical integration. |
