Zusammenfassung:To investigate the influence of specimen size on unconfined compressive strength and deformation characteristics of cohesive soils, unconfined compression tests were performed on two kinds of reconsolidated remoulded cohesive soils. The following conclusions were obtained based on the results obtained from the present study. i) Both the unconfined compressive strength and deformation modulus increased with the decrease in specimen size. ii) A method of accounting for the effect of specimen size on the unconfined compressive strength and deformation modulus is proposed.
