Zusammenfassung: | The normal stress distribution and cross-sectional deformation by distortion in single span curved box-bridge-girders have been investigated. An analytical modeling by so-called Beam on Elastic Foundation (BEF) analogy for the distortion is verified experimentally by testing programs. On the basis of the parametric studies by the BEF analysis, a spacing provision by which the distortional stress can be kept within the level of secondary stress is developed. Design examples specified by the proposed provision are also presented. |
