Zusammenfassung:This paper introduces an interim design code for the concrete filled steel piers with rectangular cross-section proposed by a sires of experimental and theoretical studies of which contents are composed of; scope, factor of safety and load factor corresponding to the load combinations, material properties, design method, structual details and fabrications as well as erections. The applicability of this interim design code is confirmed through the trial design calculations.
