Zusammenfassung: | We encountered a case of late-onset subglottic stenosis after extubation of a double lumen tube. An 83-year-old female patient underwent video-assisted thoracoscopic right upper lobectomy and partial resection of the right middle lobe. 32Fr left-sided double lumen tube provided intraoperative one-lung ventilation without any complications, and was removed immediately after surgery. On the day of surgery, the patient’s respiratory status was stable, but stridor on exertion appeared on postoperative day 1. She was re-intubated on postoperative day 3 due to respiratory insufficiency caused by severe subglottic stenosis. We report this case, along with a review of the literature. |
