Zusammenfassung: | The secular trend in age adjusted death rate for all blood and hematopoietic diseases was virtually stable for recent 20 years in both sexes in Japan, and age curve of the death rate could be well represented by four normal regression curves. These findings would suggest that etiological importance of endogenous host factors in the blood and hematopoietic diseases. The characteristic age dependency of these diseases might indicate that the onset of the disease would be essentially associated with congenital defects, endocrine or metabolic disorders and some changes along with ageing itself. Gradually improved living standards and advanced medicares would play a significant role in delaying the age at death from these diseases. The percentage proportions of deaths from leukemia, aplastic anemia and other blood diseases in total deaths from all blood and hematopoietic diseases differed from country to country. Racial factors may be an important determinant in hematological manifestations from originally one pathological condition of impaired stem cell. And lapsing time would alter the relative frequency of the differentiated diseases over years. |
