Zusammenfassung: | Urban green spacesfulfill multiple functions for the well-being of populations. However, theseecosystem services are littleknown to city dwellers, and rarelytakenintoaccount in studies. Based on this observation, an assessment of some ecosystem services of urban green spaces in the city of Daloa wascarried out. Surface and rovingsurveymethodswerecombined for the collection of all plant species. A surveywasalsocarried out among city dwellers to find out how they use plant areas fromurban green spaces. The inventories made it possible to identify 312 plant speciesdistributedbetween 237 genera and 78 families. Amongthesespecies are 62 food plants. The uses of plant species by populations are in the aesthetic, food, medicinal and artisanal fields. The CO2 equivalent of the estimatedcarbon rate in all types of developmentis 9439.75 t for a financialcostvaryingfrom 28319.25 Euros or 18549108 FCFA to 132156.5 Euros or 86562507 FCFA. Strengthening the density of woodytreespecies and theirdiversitycould help increasetheircarbon stock for a more sustainableurbanecological balance. |
