Zusammenfassung: | This study aimed to develop a Japanese version of the Procrastination at Work Scale (PAWS-J) by translating the original scale and substantiating its reliability and validity. Specifically, we assessed the PAWS-J’s validity by examining its relationship with general procrastination, boredom, and work engagement. We analyzed data obtained from 386 employees in Japan via an online survey and found that the PAWS-J had the same two-factor structure as the original scale. Furthermore, in line with previous research findings, we noted that the PAWS-J subscales were positively correlated with general procrastination and job boredom and negatively correlated with work engagement. |
