Zusammenfassung:A simple and rapid method for determination of atmospheric ammonia has been investigated. The method is based on preconcentration with alkalized Porasil A and on analysis with a chemiluminescent nitrogen detector-gas chromatography(CLD-GC). Collection on and thermal release from the adsorbent are almost quantitative. From temperature dependence of retention volumes, it is possible to make a sampling of 5 liters at 20 °C, which allows to determine 10 ppb of ammonia in air. Results with the present method are in good agreement with those by the acid collection and the Indophenol method.
