Zusammenfassung: | Diffusion coefficients in electrolyte solutions can be determined accurately by means of chronoamperometric methods with a thin-walled hanging mercury drop electrode or a stationary disk electrode. A more convenient, though less accurate, method is normal pulse voltammetry when the oxidized and reduced forms of the target substance are both soluble. Appropriate theoretical equations for these methods are given. Some results in aqueous and non-aqueous solutions are presented, with a discussion of the suitable experimental conditions. |
