Zusammenfassung:Recent decades witness an exploding development of high pressure studies in living subjects. The industry need for oil has acted as a permanent and general stimulus for deep diving. Progress in research has improved safety, human performance tolerable level and efficiency of work at depth. Such research is also of practical interest if we have to make a reliable selection of those subjects who will be highly adaptive to pressure.
