Tamilnadu, India.The groundwater quality near the salt-pans are polluted due to intensive
pumping of fresh groundwater which has caused salt water to intrude into the fresh water
aquifers. The major water quality parameters such as pH, Electrical conductivity, Total
Dissolved Solids, Total Hardness, Calcium, Magnesium, Sodium, Chloride and Sulphate etc.
