Zusammenfassung:AU Optronics Corporation (AUO) has proposed the Dual Equalization Diffusion (DED) technique for AMOLED power saving. The DED algorithm we proposed can dither the dynamic range adoptively according to the image distribution. Furthermore, we also have provided power saving (distortion) ratio modulation according to our cumulative distribution function of the weighted value in the diffusion transfer function. In this paper, we use 14 inch AMOLED FHD display module to implement our proposed algorithm. Our experimental results show that the maximum power saving ratio is upper to 8.9% with an acceptable distortion rate.
