Zusammenfassung:Architecture of a digital‐input driving circuit for RGB‐LED Backlight is proposed. By combining such a digital interface of RGB‐LED driving circuit, matrix‐arranged RGB‐LEDs and the corresponding DC‐DC conversion circuit, improvement for a backlight system, which is area color‐controllable, scanning type and is for color sequential display can be achieved. Instead of using those sophisticated traditional LED driving techniques, such as constant current control, constant voltage control, charge pump, etc., an alternative employing software‐controlled RGB‐LED backlight system may help perform superior image quality on LCD screen.
