Lonicera caprifolium flowers are used in herbal traditional medicine for their antibacterial, antioxidant and antiviral activities. The objective of this research was to optimize the ultrasound-assisted extraction (UAE) process of polyphenols from Lonicera caprifolium flowers using Design of Experiments (DoE) and Response Surface Methodology (RSM).
