Theunmediated victims of violence, are generally chosen randomly or selectively (representativeor symbolic targets), from a certain population. Terrorist acts generate messages and thethreat and violence, as a communication process between the terrorist (organization),immediate victims and main targets, are used in order to terrify and manipulate thepopulation, which is transformed in a target of terror, a target of demands or a target ofattention, depending on the target pursued: intimidation, coercion or propaganda
