Zusammenfassung:The increasing use of antibiotics promote the antibiotic resistance and is considered a public health problem. To reduce this issue, is necessary the design of new strategies. Silver nanoparticles (AgNPs) have gained attention as antimicrobial agent. AgNPs obtained from biosynthesis are economical/ecofriendly, moreover, integrate bioactive compounds with antimicrobial activity, such as the Annona muricata , known for its antimicrobial properties. The aim of our study is to investigate the antimicrobial effect of AgNPs based on extracts of leaves (AgNPs-LE) and peel (AgNPs-PE) of Annona muricata . The AgNPs were characterized by UV–Vis, FTIR, TEM-SAED, then broth dilution and disc broadcast tests were performed to determine the inhibitory and effective concentration, respectively. Our results show that AgNPs-LE and AgNPs-PE have antimicrobial properties by deducing the S. aureus , E. coli , E. faecalis, and C. albicans in culture. These findings highlight the importance of AgNPs from of A. muricata as possible treatment of microbial infections. Graphical abstract
