This compact and pleasantly readable book on childhood tuberculosis is written by Professor Gerbeaux, of the Université de Paris, whose work on many aspects of this subject has been appearing steadily in the literature for many years. Composed of 22 chapters, the book progresses smoothly from etiology and epidemiology to antituberculous chemoprophylaxis. The early chapters are concerned with diagnostic techniques and contain carefully documented experiences with all methods of tuberculin testing, laboratory techniques and roentgenologic aids in establishing the diagnosis of tuberculosis and determining the progress of disease (chapters 2, 5, 6, and 7.).
