Zusammenfassung: | Eight of our patients (Cases 1 to 8) developed the syndrome of benign intracranial hypertension following an infection other than otitis media. None of these patients had been treated with tetracycline or chlortetracycline. Two patients (Cases 2 and 4) were given penicillin 3 days and 7 weeks, respectively, before the onset of their neurological symptoms. One child (Case 5) was treated with penicillin and a sulphonamide for a streptococcal pharyngitis 5 weeks prior to the onset of symptoms. |
