Spinal Fluid Glucose in Neonatal Meningitis

Drs. Winterbauer, Fortuine, and Eickhoff detail under "Experience and Reason" in the October issue two patients in whom Group B streptococci were isolated from spinal fluid. In the second patient they note a spinal fluid protein of 24.5 mg/100 cc while the glucose is 79 mg/100 cc. Are these values reversed or was a glucose infusion running? If these values are correct, I would appreciate a comment by the authors.
