The main aim of this article is to present the latest publications and social initiatives related to Western Pomerania. The 21st century has witnessed the activities that testify to the communal need to revise images of the past. The German cultural heritage has been portrayed anew in various types of publications: novels (Niebko by Brygida Helbig-Mischewski), collections of reportage (Morze i ziemia, ed. Andrzej Klim and Cezary Łazarewicz), and photographic essays (Nieswojość, ed. Agata Pankiewicz and Marcin Przybyłko). These texts prove significant transformations in the sphere of shared memory, affecting at the same time the transformation of collective and individual identity.
