Zusammenfassung: | Silver nanoparticles (Ag NPs) were fabricated onto titanium substrates with and without titania nanotubes arrays (TiO2 NTs) using electrochemical and chemical techniques, respectively, to create nanostructured electrocatalysts for the hydrogen evolution reaction (HER). The active surface area of the catalyst is determined by the Ag NPs' structure and the presence of TiO2 nanotubes on the titanium substrate. The electrocatalytic activity was improved by chemically synthesizing Ag NPs onto a titanium electrode that had been precoated with TiO2 nanotubes. |
