, [Cu(I)(2,2’-bipy)

]
+
cations and water molecules. The title compound possesses a 1D tangled helical structure composed of {[Cu(II)(2,2’-bipy)
2
]
2
[HCoW
12
O
40
]}− polyoxoanions via π・ ・ ・π interactions along the c axis. The electrochemical behavior of the title compound was studied.
