Changing the Surface Properties of ABS Plastic by Plasma
The research deals with plasma treatment of acrylonitrile butadiene styrene plastic (ABS). The plastic was treated with Diffuse Coplanar Surface Barrier Discharge (DCSBD) and Gliding arc at atmospheric pressure. ABS was chosen because of its low price, wide use in industry. Zusammenfassung: | The research deals with plasma treatment of acrylonitrile butadiene styrene plastic (ABS). The plastic was treated with Diffuse Coplanar Surface Barrier Discharge (DCSBD) and Gliding arc at atmospheric pressure. ABS was chosen because of its low price, wide use in industry. Samples were analyzed with contact angle measurement and the surface energy was determined as well. The results show that only a few seconds of plasma treatment can cause relatively large wettability change. |
