Zusammenfassung:Traction motors of EVs require wide power band characteristics. A magnetic-geared motor has a possibility to achieve these requirements because it has passively variable magnetic flux characteristics. In this paper, the passively variable magnetic flux characteristics of the magnetic-geared motor is investigated using finite element analyses. Furthermore, a maximum torque control method for the magnetic-geared motor is proposed and investigated.
