Zusammenfassung: | Light-field head-mounted displays (HMDs) can resolve vergence-accommodation conflicts but suffer from limited display pixels, causing a narrow field-of-view (FOV). This study proposes a wide-FOV light-field HMD with a 5.5-inch-diagonal 4 K display for virtual reality applications. By adjusting the pitch of elemental images to control the eye relief and creating a virtual intermediate image, horizontal and vertical FOVs of 68.8° and 43.1°, respectively, can be achieved using a monocular optical bench prototype. |
