Zusammenfassung: | Accurate image reproduction is important in display technologies. For instance, in medical imaging, correct image reproduction is essential to make accurate diagnoses and treatments. For this reason, the medical community has produced the DICOM (digital imaging and communications in medicine) standard. In this paper, we propose a luminance (gray) calibration method in accordance with the DICOM standard. Theoretically, the proposed method would provide the optimal solution for the DICOM GSDF (grayscale standard display function), though it is not possible to implement the optimal solution due to the time variances of displays and light measuring devices. Experimental results show that the proposed calibration method provides excellent performance for gray calibration. |
