Zusammenfassung:The Treatment Alternatives to Street Crime (TASC) program has been used in Colorado since 1989. The program's effectiveness in reducing recidivism rates for participants has not been demonstrated. Two studies were conducted to investigate the effect of TASC on recidivism rates of parolees who participated. TASC participants did not have a lower recidivism rate than non-TASC parolees. Implications for future TASC program evaluations are discussed.
