Zusammenfassung: | This article reports the results from a survey of gerontology and geriatrics education in Schools and Colleges of Pharmacy and from a survey of state-level Associations for Home Health Care on their involvement with aging-related education and training. Results indicate that pharmaceutical education programs, as a whole, do not have adequate coverage of aging-related material and suggest a lack of funding support accounts, in part, for this inadequacy. Executive Directors of state home care associations report that most home health care personnel are not required to have any aging-related education and training. Further, home care association involvement with aging-related educational issues for home care personnel is limited. |
