Zusammenfassung: | In order to obtain basic information on the improvement of the surface integrity of the machined surface, the influence of the rake angle of cutting edge and the contact width of flank face on the residual stress of cut surface was examined. The residual stress of the cut surface was measured by the X-ray diffraction method. The results obtained are as follows. The residual stress distribution of cut surface can be divided into three characteristic patterns roughly due to the change in the cutting edge shape. The residual stress of cut surface shifted to the compressive side due to the increase in the negative rake angle and the contact width of flank face. It found that the relative increase of the radial cutting force was strongly involved in the shifting to the compressive side of the residual stress of cut surface and the increase in the depth of residual stress layer. |
