Zusammenfassung: | Decreasing the friction loss of gears and its quantitative estimation have become very important problems, because these problems relate to economizing energy and improving the load carrying capacity of gears. However, past research concerning the friction loss of spur gears is not sufficient for estimating the friction loss. Therefore, we have carried out experiments to study the influences of tooth form, chemical structure and viscosity of lubricating oils, sliding velocity, and load on the friction loss of spur gears. Many new tendencies of friction loss of spur gears were brought out, and finally, empirical formulas for calculating the friction loss of spur gears are established. |
