Zusammenfassung: | A numerical analysis of two-and three-dimensional separated and reattached flow and heat transfer in an enlarged channel is presented in this paper. Numerical calculations of Navier-Stokes equations and energy one are carried out using the finite difference method. The results of three-dimensional calculations are compared with the two-dimensional ones and show the effects of aspect ratio. The transition from symmetric to asymmetric flow is caused at lower Reynolds number with increasing the aspect ratio. The details of local heat transfer characteristics accompanying two different separated flow regions on two downstream walls are clarified. Two-dimensionality of the flow and heat transfer is disappeared at the aspect ratio considered. |
