Zusammenfassung:In usual analysis it is permissible to superpose the solution of pure thermal load problem on that of mechanical one. However, taking the thermomechanical coupling effect into account, such a superposition is not allowed. Nevertheless problems treated so far are pure thermal ones. Moreover pure thermal problems are not so much occurred in general. Thus it is important to investigate the influence of the mechanical load on temperature and stress distributions. In this paper a circular hollow cylinder under the thermal and mechanical loads is considered and it is pointed out that the influence of the mechanical load on temperature and stress distributions is considerable great and it can not be ignored.
