Zusammenfassung:This paper presents a numerical method for the three dimensional analysis of gas flow in boiler furnaces. This method is based on the Modified FLIC Method, which is a kind of finite volume method, and on the anisotropic porous media modeling tube bundles. Two application examples are shown in this paper. The first example is of an experimental model boiler furnace, and the calculated results show a good agreement with experimental data. The other example is of an actual boiler furnace. In the latter example, three dimensional gas flow characteristics in furnace and the rectifying effect of panelled tubes at furnace outlet on a flow pattern are discussed.
