Zusammenfassung:The performance of combinations of rotating blade rows (rotors) and stationary rows (stators) in the free-molecule range is analyzed theoretically and confirmed experimentally. Firstly, the formulas which give the relation between the transmission probabilities for the individual rows in a combination and the over-all transmission probabilities for the combination are derived. Secondly, the factors which affect the transmission probabilities due to combining rotors and stators are found, and then taking account of them, the calculation of the transmission probabilities for the individual rows is performed. Lastly, the theoretical results are verified by the experiments on several rotors and stators with various geometrical dimensions. The theoretical results agree with the experimental data within the probable experimental error.
