Zusammenfassung:As metabolites of cyclohexanecarboxylic acid by Trichosporon cutaneum KUY-6 A, trans 2-hydroxycyclohexanecarboxylic acid (I), 4-hydroxycyclohexanecarboxylic acid (II), p-hydroxyben-zoic acid (III) and protocatechuic acid (IV) were identified by TLC and GC-MS analysis. In previous studies it has been noted that product (I) was an intermediate on the a-oxidation pathway, whereas products (II), (III) and (IV) were intermediates on the aromatization pathway. It is suggested that T. cutaneum KUY-6 A metabolized cyclohexanecarboxylic acid by two pathways involving product (I) and (II) as key intermediates.
