Zusammenfassung:The Schizosaccharomyces pombe Och1p is required for the initiation of outer chain elongation of N-linked oligosaccharides. In this report, we investigated the transcriptional control of the S. pombe och1 + gene and found that the expression of the och1 + gene was not regulated during the cell cycle, but was induced by NaCl and KCl through a transcription factor, Atf1p.
