Zusammenfassung:A novel technique to produce monodispersed fine particles, named the Three-Phase Alkoxide Method, is proposed, where water vapor is introduced into metal alkoxide alcoholic solutions and hydrolysis of metal alkoxide takes place in a three-phase slurry reactor. Growth of monodispersed TiO2 seed particles was studied in a three-phase reactor of titaniumtetraisoproxide (TTIP) ethanol solution by further addition of water vapor. It was found that uniform particle growth can be controlled over a range of 0. 76 -0.95 μm without agglomeration by changing the amount of water supplied.
