Preparation of a η1:η6-μ2-aryl alkynyl diruthenium complex [Cp(PPh3)2Ru(η1:η6-μ2-C≡CC6H4Me-p)RuCp*]Cl (2•Cl) [Cp = η5-C5H5, Cp* = η5-C5Me5] and its reactions with electrophile or CO are reported. The structure of 2•PF6 has been determined by X-ray crystallography.
