Zusammenfassung:The domino oxidation predominates in the tri-, tetra-, and penta-oxidations of tricyclic, tetracyclic, and pentacyclic ladder oligosilanes 5, 7, and 9 with m-chloroperoxybenzoic acid. The structures of these products were determined by X-ray crystallography. The resulting domino oxidation products 6, 8, and 10 show intense absorption bands in the UV spectra.
