Isoxazole Platform for Polyketide Assembly: Cycloaddition of Stable Benzonitrile Oxides to Stable ortho-Quinone Monoacetals and Dehydrogenation
A two-step preparation of highly functionalized polycyclic isoxazoles is described via regioselective 1,3-dipolar cycloaddition of ortho-disubstituted benzonitrile oxides to ortho-quinone monoacetals and dehydrogenation by NiO2.
