First person – Valérie Cabana

First Person is a series of interviews with the first authors of a selection of papers published in Journal of Cell Science, helping researchers promote themselves alongside their papers. Valérie Cabana is first author on ‘ AP-1 contributes to endosomal targeting of the ubiquitin ligase RNF13 via a secondary and novel non-canonical binding motif’, published in JCS. Valérie is a PhD student in the lab of Marc Lussier at Université du Québec à Montréal, Montréal, Canada, investigating post-Golgi subcellular trafficking of lysosomal transmembrane proteins.
