Zusammenfassung:The author had long worked for the Library affiliated with the Japan Society of Civil Engineers, long-standing special organization, until the end of August, 2002. It is evident that special libraries require the librarians to be involved in diversity of matters to solve based on human relations of “give and take among persons concerned with”. So that those relations are highly considered to be assets for those persons. Duties of special libraries which are to utilize, screen and expand the resources are undertaken not by computers but by humans. The author discloses very personal experiences as one who loves to investigate resources, and work with high curiosity.
