Zusammenfassung: | The paper explores the efforts of Kerala to align its undergraduate education with global standards and competence through the introduction of the Four-Year Undergraduate Programme (FYUGP) in the realm of curriculum reforms. The paper highlights the significance of curriculum reforms in the context of transforming the State of Kerala into a people-centric knowledge society. It examines the structure and content of FYUGP introduced in the state universities with effect from the 2024–25 academic year. It includes details of teaching-learning methodology, critical thinking, creativity, vocational and entrepreneurship skills that are integral to the structure of the new curriculum. The article proposes a curriculum that encourages students to learn with curiosity and enjoyment through self-involvement. How to enable students to doubt and question with an unending thirst for knowledge is what the curriculum should entail. It should help students attain higher-order cognitive benefits. |
